Equity in tech isn’t a dream, it’s our mission.
A brief timeline
In 2019, we set out on a mission: not just to teach technology but to change lives. Under Google Developer Group and Women Techmakers, we brought cutting-edge education to communities that had been overlooked. We didn’t just host events, we ignited movements. We launched chapters, built networks, and empowered people who never saw themselves in tech before.
But something became clear. The demand wasn’t just for workshops. People needed a lasting ecosystem of support, guidance, and opportunity. This realization started with one of our founders, Daisy Mayorga. While in college, she conducted a technology community scan in the very place she grew up. What she discovered was eye-opening: systemic barriers weren’t just individual struggles, they were deeply embedded in the fabric of the community. The lack of access, mentorship, and resources wasn’t an accident; it was a pattern. And that pattern needed to be broken.
So in 2023, we took a bold step: we created yüda. Not as a business, but as a revolution. A space where technology education is equitable, accessible, and future-proof. A community where anyone, regardless of background, can step into the future with confidence. Because the future shouldn’t be reserved for the privileged few, it should belong to all of us.
We don’t just prepare people for change. We create the future, together.
